Scoil San Nioclás was officially opened in 1963.
It consisted of three classrooms, a staff room and a kitchen. In January 1975 the school was amalgamated with Tullahought N.S and an extension was built consisting of a G.P room and a classroom to accomodate a fourth teacher.
In September 2008, our Autism Unit, Sonas was opened. Initially the G.P room was used as their classroom.
During the summer of 2009 a new Autism Unit and an additional staff room was built. The original staff room is now the resource room.
In 2014, a beautiful new entrance, learning support room, and offices for the principal and secretary were built. They now complement our four mainstream classrooms, Sonas, our Autism Unit and our multi-purpose room.
