General School Rules
Aims
·To promote the general well being, safety and development of pupils
·To ensure the orderly functioning of the school
·To foster a healthy relationship and mutual respect between teacher and pupil, also pupil and pupil
.To create a responsible awareness and civic spirit among pupils
Rules
·Pupils are expected to be in school by 9.15 a.m.
·All unnecessary items such as jewellery, toys, chewing gum, tippex. penknives, pocket money and mobile phones are forbidden in the school and playground.
·Notes are required for the following and should be written in the child’s attendance note book:
a)To explain absence from school or the need to leave the school early.
b)To present a good reason for the pupil’s failure to do or complete his/her homework.
c)To give a reason for not wearing a full school uniform, or tracksuit on P.E day.
·Children should respect everybody in the school community at all times.
·Children should respect their own property, the property of others and the school property.
· Any form of rough play or bullying will not be tolerated.
· Children must not leave school grounds until collected.
· Pupils are expected to bring a healthy lunch to school.
Parents Please Note:
¨ Failure to comply with the School Code of Discipline will necessitate disciplinary action.
¨ Observance of these rules will foster a friendly, caring and happy atmosphere within the school and promote good habits for future life.
¨ The teachers are responsible for the children’s welfare only from 9.10am each morning to 3.15pm in the evening. Please try to collect children on time, as all students must have left the school grounds by 3.15 pm.
¨ Parent-Teacher meetings will be held in October to discuss your child’s progress, but should you wish to discuss any other matter please make an appointment with the teacher.
¨ Please notify us if your child is to be collected by someone unknown to the teacher.
We have always enjoyed parents’ co-operation and we look forward to continued support in the future.
