Special Class Placement 2026 - Parents who are considering a special class placement for their child from September 2026 that they must apply to the Special Educational Needs Organiser (SENO) for an eligibility letter in line with Circular 39/2025. Please note:
An eligibility letter from the NCSE is a mandatory requirement for enrolment in a special class.
Applications to the SENO must be submitted no later than October 1st, 2025.
Without this letter, children cannot be considered for placement in a special class.

4th, 5th & 6th Class experiment during Science Week
The three class groups attended a webinar hosted by SFI, the Science Foundation of Ireland. It was the official launch of Science Week and they covered so many topics from green washing to magnets to climate change. We were back again on Thursday to ‘hang with’ the hosts, SFI, in Microsoft’s DreamSpace, which was a privilege to see inside as there is a long waiting list to visit it. Here are some of the experiments.
