Special Class Placement 2026 - Parents who are considering a special class placement for their child from September 2026 that they must apply to the Special Educational Needs Organiser (SENO) for an eligibility letter in line with Circular 39/2025. Please note:
An eligibility letter from the NCSE is a mandatory requirement for enrolment in a special class.
Applications to the SENO must be submitted no later than October 1st, 2025.
Without this letter, children cannot be considered for placement in a special class.

Jean Smyth announced her retirement at the end of our last term in 2023. The whole school community will miss Jean so much. Jean was an integral part of school life and helped out with so many initiatives particularly the school organic garden and polytunnels, as well as the Scoil San Nioclás Tractor Run fundraiser and Art Competition. All the pupils would have participated in Guided Reading where Jean was a valued member of the team. We wish Jean all the best of health and happiness in her retirement.
