Special Class Placement 2026 - Parents who are considering a special class placement for their child from September 2026 that they must apply to the Special Educational Needs Organiser (SENO) for an eligibility letter in line with Circular 39/2025. Please note:
An eligibility letter from the NCSE is a mandatory requirement for enrolment in a special class.
Applications to the SENO must be submitted no later than October 1st, 2025.
Without this letter, children cannot be considered for placement in a special class.

Scoil San Nioclás had a very successful Maths Week! Mrs O'Shea and 6th Class organised all of the activities for each class and the children had great fun. They really enjoyed the emoji maths competition, which had a winner from each class. 3rd,4th,5th and 6th class all took part in a nationwide Maths quiz, which had over 500 schools participating. They all worked together to come up with a solution and they shared their very varied approaches.to answering the questions.
