Our final assembly was tinged with sadness as the staff and pupils said farewell to Mrs Malone and wished her well in her retirement. Mrs Malone taught for 18 years at Scoil San Nioclás. She has been an integral part of the life and essence of the school. Her talents extended across all the curricula and extra curricula subjects but in particular Gaeilge and Music. Mrs. Malone led the choir for communion, confirmation, Christmas concerts, indeed for any special occasions. She introduced the Peace Proms to our school many years ago. An event the children, parents and teachers enjoy so much.
