Special Class Placement 2026 - Parents who are considering a special class placement for their child from September 2026 that they must apply to the Special Educational Needs Organiser (SENO) for an eligibility letter in line with Circular 39/2025. Please note:
An eligibility letter from the NCSE is a mandatory requirement for enrolment in a special class.
Applications to the SENO must be submitted no later than October 1st, 2025.
Without this letter, children cannot be considered for placement in a special class.

Scoil San Nioclás held their annual sports day on Friday 24th June. Mrs OShea along with 6th Class organised all the activities and matches. The red,green,yellow,orange,dark & light blue teams competed to lift the ‘Zara Phelan’ Perpetual Trophy. Activities from tunnelball to skipping,novelty races to poc fada. The children had lots of fun. In the end it was a very close call. Indeed Mrs O’Shea said it was the closest result in a very long time.
